Echoes From Calvary

How to Become a Christian

Jesus did much more than live His life to show us a better way. He did something we could never do. Jesus died in order to save us from eternal spiritual death. How does this apply to you? Read these 6 simple truths and some very important words from the Bible to find out.

6 Steps to Knowing God

Step 1 – God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him, will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Step 2 – You will never satisfy God’s perfect standards.
“For all have sinned; and fall short of God’s glorious standards.” Romans 3:23

Step 3 – Jesus did something you could never do.
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8

Step 4 – The only way to God is through Jesus.
“Jesus told him, ‘I am the way the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Step 5 – Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart.
“Look! Here I stand at the door and knock, If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends” Revelations 3:20

Step 6 – You need to personally receive Jesus Christ into your life.
“For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right now? If it is your sincere desire to ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart.
Here is a Suggested Prayer…
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing my trust in you alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life.”

If you have trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please let us know. We want to rejoice in what God has done in your life and help you to grow eternally.

Jesus Said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Our Core Values

Pray:
Prayer acknowledges our total and complete dependency upon God. It empowers us to live the transformed, gospel-centered life that God has called us to live.

Give:
We believe that “growing in the grace of giving” is not the product of guilt or coercion. Rather, it flows from a heart that has been transformed by the gospel. By giving, we become a part of God’s mission to redeem and restore the world.

Invite:
We are surrounded by people who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ. God calls us to invite them into our lives and our church community so they might see and hear the good news of the kingdom.

Mentor:
In order for our mission to be sustainable and reproducible, we must pass along to others the knowledge, skills and values that will enable them to serve.

Serve:
God calls us to serve. Our service has the greatest impact when our individual strengths and passions are strategically utilized to accomplish God’s mission in the world.
